My maternal Great-Great Grandfather, Henry William Crouch and his wife Sarah Lewis left England bound for Australia on the convict sailing ship ”Scindian”, arriving in Melbourne on 16th October 1852.
In 1862, he came to Doncaster and purchased 36 acres of land on Church Road. As a member of the Carlton church in Melbourne, he immediately began establishing a Church of Christ in the area.
