Wilson’s Promontory National Park is on a peninsula in South Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. It’s known for its rugged granite mountains and abundant wildlife. There are many walking trails throughout the park and beach coves to explore. Other features include the white quartz sand at Squeaky Beach that squeaks when you walk on it and from the Tidal River settlement; Mount Oberon offers views of Bass Strait and the offshore islands. The Wilson’s Promontory Lighthouse built in 1859 is on the southernmost coast of the Australian mainland.
