Wedge-tail Eagle

Walkerville South – Friday 9th July.

“The Wedge-tail Eagle is Australia’s largest bird of prey weighing around 3.5 kg (Adult). It has an average wingspan of 2.3 metres, and occasionally up to 2.8 metres. Females are larger than males and also weigh more than males. They have fully feathered legs, an unmistakable wedge-shaped tail and are one of the world’s largest eagles. (approximately the same size as the Bald Eagle)
